Airtel Tanzania, the most affordable and reliable mobile service provider, has continued to support institutions which are doing charity works for the underprivileged children in Tanzania.
Speaking when giving the support, Beatrice Singani Mallya, Airtel Director for Corporate Communications and Regulatory Affairs said, “We are well aware of the institutions and organizations which are well committed to support the underprivileged children in Tanzania, We are so pleased to support Dar Indian Women’s Association in their initiative to utilize their efforts for educational aid and health in Tanzania, we are full supporting them and we look forward to support such initiatives in a near future”
DIWA treasury Manager, Sujithra Krishna Kumal, appreciated the support by Airtel as core sponsor of the event and with that she remarked and recognized the initiative made by Airtel Company in the country especially to similar projects of supporting the health and educational sectors.
Kumal continue explaining on the fund to be raised that “With all these initiatives, this time we plan to support CCBRT in fight against Fistulas for women and we look forward to support the education sector as well as we have done in previous years to Kisutu Secondary School and others”
The event took place at Kisutu Secondary School ground and various activities including games and music. This year event was “FUD n’ FUN ‘11” and the proceeds of all these events has been mandatorily set aside for said charitable purposes.
DIWA is a group of ten Indian women living in dare s salaam formed in April 2008 with the sole motto of charity. They have been organizing fundraising events the third time this year for the similar purpose of charity works for helping and supporting the society in Tanzania.
