Barrick won the most coveted prize in the mining sector at this year’s 2022 Madini Day Gala.Announced as the largest contributor to government revenue for 2021.
The Ministry of Minerals hosted the Gala at Mlimani City in Dar es Salaam. The Guest of Honour at this year’s event was His Excellency Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the former President of the United Republic of Tanzania. In attendance were a range of national and international stakeholders from the mining and energy sector.
The company also bagged the following awards:
(North Mara) First Runner amongst Special Mining License Holders in Local Content Performance as per Mining Act CAP 123 in 2021.
Top Sponsor of the 4th International Mineral and Mining Investment Conference in 2022.
