
The number of Tanzania Breweries Limited's (TBL) distributors, had a three day trip tour to Kampala, Uganda to meet other distributors in Uganda have learn and share new experience with their counterparts. The 14 were all winner of the TBL Christmas incentive.
Public Relations Manager for TBL, Edith Mushi, said that the firm organized the trip for all distributors to meet other distributors in Uganda and share experience between the two countries.
“We organized this trip for our distributors which came to an end April 6, 2011, when the team returned to Dar es Salaam to be hosted for a final celebratory dinner,” she elaborated.
TBLs’ sister company, Nile Breweries hosted the team on a fact finding mission, visiting Kampala’s beer distributors to discuss business and exchange ideas.

said: “It was great visiting the Ugandan beer distributors and see how they approach their business. I believe we have learned a few things from them and also shared with them reasons for our success.”
Owner for Mkandama Store at Mbagala Mbande in Dar es Salaam, Omary Mkangama, said: “I am very pleased for TBL to organize the trip for all distributors to meet other distributors in Uganda and share experience between the two countries.”
He added that they have things, which would help to add more value if adopted into the business, citing on record management, collection of empties from the customers, stock- keeping per brands and also the need of having territory demarcations so they get assurance of their customers.
Mushi said whilst in Uganda, the team also had the opportunity to visit Uganda’s premier water business, Rwenzori Water, where they witnessed the whole process from collecting the water to it being bottled and packaged in the company’s ultra modern plant.
She said: “during the event, all the winners from all Distribution Centres of TBL products had a chance to meet with their business counterparts and pleasure whilst staying in the luxurious Kabira Country Club in the Ugandan capital Kampala.”
Moreover, during the tour the distributors were able to do some sightseeing around Uganda's capital and enjoy a number of the city’s best restaurants and clubs, the group also did some business.

Centre- Mwanza), Mosi Agustion, Nicholaus Babere (Tarime Farms Ltd –
Tarime- Mara), Teddy Nkandi, Barnabas Ileti (Teddy Ileti (Tanga), Gasto Marandu, Marry Kavishe (Kasto Marandu Center – Moshi), and John Manboko,Others were Limi Mbembela (John Maboko Centre – Mbeya), Makandama Omary, Joyce Kimaro (Mkandama Store – Dar es Salaam), Peter Malaki and Josephine Silayo (Wazo Road – Dar es Salaam).
